Lets get this party started.

So, I've been putting off this whole blog thing for quite awhile. A really long while. Like well over a year. I first set up this account so I would have a way to vent my frustrations. At the time, I was living in Denver and I was suffering from insomnia. When you are up at 3 in the morning, and there's nothing on TV and nowhere to go, and all you want to do is sleep, you have a lot of frustrations. You also have a lot of free time, even though you spend most of that free time trying to sleep. Then I moved back to the east coast and my life got kind of hectic. I also got a boyfriend. I really didn't want a boyfriend. I told him this. I think he may have laughed. I don't remember. And life just got a little out of hand. Work picked back up, my insomnia went away, and I kept putting off this whole blog thing. Until now.

I woke up this morning (ok, this afternoon) to the sounds of jet engines. Thank you airport sheraton. I have a lovely view of the ramp right out my window. One of the perks of being a flight attendant is staying at all the lovely airport hotels. As per morning routine, the first thing I did after waking up was to check my phone. My phone has become my lifeline. I never wanted to be one of those people who becomes a slave to my phone, but alas it has happened. To somewhat explain, where I live I don't have internet or tv. I live next to a cow farm. My phone is the only connection I have to the outside world when I am at home. My phone does everything for me. Internet, weather, email, facebook (that's important), and heck, it even makes phone calls! Imagine that. Getting back to this morning, I checked my phone and saw that a very important system update was ready to be installed. I clicked ok, and a few minutes later my phone is running froyo! This was like Christmas in August. The only way this day could get any better is if the 2 packages I'm expecting arrive, or if the crew desk calls me and says I don't have to work the red eye home tomorrow. That last thing is never going to happen, but hey, I'm allowed to daydream.

So now that my phone has updated to new software, I get to spend my morning learning how to use it. Ok, this is cool, until I see that my phone has also decided that I need twitter. I have been very against this whole twitter movement from the start. I've never seen a use for it, but now that it's on my phone...well, I signed up. It took me about 20 tries to find a username that I use on a regular basis, and would you believe it that they were all taken?! Am I the last person on earth to sign up for twitter?! I tried BaconBits, StrawberryPie, YourMom, UsernameFail.... All taken. So now I am DetroitTigers26. Yay fandom. And now I can join the rest of America, taking up internet space to say absolutly nothing in particular. And that brings us to now.

Somewhere in my newfound twitter moment, I decided that as long as I'm signing up for twitter nonsense I might as well start buckling down and doing this blog nonsense that I've been saying I would do for the last couple months (years). It will give me a place to vent about work, life, and every other little thing that happens along the way. I'm sure some days will be more interesting than others but hey, it can't always be fun and games can it? Well...it should be. But that's beside the point.

Now it's off to get ready for a fun filled day of work. Catch y'all after the party!
